Available in White Oak, Red Oak, Hard Maple, Cherry, and White Ash from prime Northern Appalachian origin, these high grade flitches are produced with very strict standards for quality.
The manufacturing begins with hand-picked veneer grade logs. Each log is debarked and split in half. The half log is inspected for defect; rejected pieces are sawn into lumber; good pieces are graded, shrink-wrapped, and export banded. The flitch bundle is easily moved by forklift from the mill to the container.

- No defects - In log form, even the most experienced buyer can only guess as to the log's interior defects. With flitches, the guesswork is eliminated. Cherry gum, White Ash glassworm, Hard Maple sugar, and Oak pin knots are all visible and rejected.
