FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Portland, Oregon (April 14, 2005) - North Pacific Group, Inc. today announced that effective April 1, 2005, almost all North Pacific companies will operate under the name, North Pacific. By uniting North Pacific's businesses under one name, the company leverages the strength of a larger, more diversified company. It also allows North Pacific to bring greater value to suppliers and customers and while providing a unified company for its employees.
North Pacific recently changed the names of many of their subsidiaries to "North Pacific." Their businesses such as Saxonville USA, Landmark Building Products, Delta Forest Products, Allen Timber, and Schultz, Snyder & Steele will now be known as "North Pacific."
"Uniting all businesses under one name leverages the ownership of North Pacific and strengthens our position in the markets we serve," said Jay Ross, CEO, North Pacific. "What will not change is our ability to respond quickly and make decisions locally to the benefit of our customers and suppliers."
With roots going back to 1948, the core capabilities of North Pacific - its people, diverse services, extensive product offerings and dedication to customers and suppliers - will remain unchanged.
